Some of the most important areas of CTE begin with a small group of people who recognize the need for a stronger professional community. With 25 ACTE members, an emerging field or specialized professional area can establish a new NRS section.

As that community grows, it can work toward becoming an ACTE division. A section reaching 750 members may qualify for division status and representation on ACTE’s Board of Directors through an elected vice president. Growing a section is therefore more than increasing membership—it is an opportunity to give your profession a national platform and a voice in ACTE’s leadership.
