Over the past 20 years I have served in a variety of leadership roles. As an educator, I have worked as a Director of Career Readiness and Workforce Development, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Coordinator of Academic Interventions, a K-12 instructional coach, and a literacy specialist.

I began my career as a journalist and education columnist for the San Gabriel Valley Newspaper Group, covering education. I have written professional books and curriculum for a number of educational publishing houses. I have led county- and district-wide improvement initiatives, and have provided professional development and training across the country, and in Canada and American Samoa.

I was named CTE Administrator of the Year for California ACSA Region 12 (2024), and am now working as a full-time consultant providing curriculum support, grant writing, and program implementation. I now live in Washington state where I am able to be close to my grandson.
