ACTE

Our goal is simple: to provide the professional development, leadership training, advocacy, networking and resources that CTE educators need to succeed in the field.

The ACTE Community

We are more than 23,000 individuals just like you who are respected teachers, administrators and institutional leaders in their local schools and communities and at the state and national levels. Support from members across the CTE spectrum strengthens our effectiveness in advocating for issues related to the interests of the entire profession.

We have five geographic Regions that organize our state associations, plus 12 Divisions that align members’ fields of expertise and industries. Every member belongs to at least one Division, but you can join as many as you like!

The Association for Career and Technical Education is the largest national association dedicated to the advancement of education that prepares youth and adults for successful careers.

For 85 years, we have been committed to enhancing the job performance and satisfaction of our members, to increasing public awareness and appreciation of career and technical programs, and to assuring growth in local, state and federal funding for these programs by communicating and working with legislators and government leaders.
