Health-Division-Icon-300x300The Health Science Education (HSE) Division of ACTE® has a broad-based foundation of instructors, administrators, applied academics instructors, local and state supervisors, teacher educators and others who are dedicated to educating today’s students for tomorrow’s health care community. Many HSE educators have experience as health care professionals, and they prepare youth and adults for such careers as nursing, dental hygiene and dental assisting, home health aide and medical technician.

Members include health care educators from middle schools, high schools and secondary career centers, community colleges and other postsecondary technical schools, four-year baccalaureate degree programs, graduate degree programs and other related institutions and organizations. Most members also are advisors for HOSA-Future Health Professionals. Others join similar student associations.

Students preparing for health careers or for teaching careers in health occupations can gain valuable career information and network with other professionals as members of the ACTE HSE Division.

The ACTE Health Science Education Division is aligned with the following career clusters:

  • Education and Training
  • Health Science
  • Human Services
