ACTE, Advance CTE Statement on COVID-19 Relief Bill Including $1B for CTE

Alexandria, VA – The following statement can be attributed to Kimberly Green, Executive Director of Advance CTE and LeAnn Wilson, Executive Director of ACTE.

“We applaud the introduction of the Coronavirus Child Care and Education Relief Act, which includes a $1 billion investment in career and technical education (CTE). CTE’s contribution is twofold: It is vital to providing the 40 million people out of work – especially those most vulnerable – with the opportunities to upskill and reskill and enter into a living-wage career. CTE is also critical to employers, ensuring that they have the talent needed to innovate and grow. We support this bill and look forward to working with Congress to secure its enactment.”
