On September 24, Punchbowl News held an interview with Sen. Ted Budd (R-NC), Co-chair of the CTE Caucus, on the future of the American workforce. Sen. Budd highlighted developments in his home state of North Carolina, including the construction of a data center that is employing 1,000 electricians. He noted that AI is not the only determining factor on the future of the American workforce, emphasizing the reshoring of manufacturing as a major factor in what he called the “blue collar revolution” that he believes the American workforce is currently experiencing.
