LeAnn Wilson, ACTE’s executive director, won the NAPE Equity Champions‘ Innovation Through Challenge Award. This award recognizes creative, innovative and/or collaborative leadership in developing systems, structures, programs, and supports to ensure equitable access to high-quality education through a period of challenge (e.g., in the context of COVID-19 in the spring of 2020 and/or the 2020-2021 academic year).

CTE Innovation Summit Set for June 1

SUBMIT NOMINATIONS: ACTE 2022 board of directors election

Nominations for the 2022 ACTE board of directors election opened April 1. All completed applications are due June 15. In order to vote, you must be an ACTE member by Nov. 3.

Voting will begin during ACTE’s CareerTech VISION 2021, on Friday, Dec. 3.

Positions eligible for election include:

  • President-elect: Serves a one-year term beginning in July 2022, followed by one-year as president and one-year as past president.
  • Business Education Division Vice President: Serves a three-year term beginning July 2022
  • Family Consumer Sciences Division Vice President: Serves a three-year term beginning July 2022.
  • Region I Vice President-elect: Serves a three-year term beginning July 2023
  • Region IV Vice President-elect: Serves a three-year term beginning July 2023
  • Engineering and Technology Education Division Vice President-elect: Serves a three-year term beginning July 2023
  • Trade and Industrial Education Division Vice President-elect: Serves a three-year term beginning July 2023
