Region III is excited to encourage Investing in CTE and being a part of that investment by sharing the winning radio PSAs of our TEACH CTE campaign (see link below). The PSAs will begin airing during February 2022 CTE month in our Region states! Please share in your media circles to get the word out about the great opportunities that exist as a CTE educator.

Region III ACTE Announces Winners
January 28, 2022 ACTE’s Region III has announced their audio winners for the “Be a Part of the Investment … Teach CTE” campaign contest. Region III has proudly sponsored the project as a Public Service Announcement campaign. The goal of the contest was to provide broadcast-ready PSAs produced by high school students highlighting the need for CTE teachers.
Indiana takes a clean sweep in the audio portion of the contest. First ($250) and second ($150) place honors went to the Southern Indiana Career and Technical Institute. Third place ($100) went to to Tsehai Bean of the Elkhart Area Career Center. Judges agreed that all three winning PSAs summarized the need for teachers and did so with passion and emotion.
CTE classes in our high schools give students an academic foundation along with technical skills and hands-on experience in career areas that provide real-world experience. Job opportunities are abundant for CTE educators. Research shows most CTE educators have high job satisfaction leading to rewarding careers.
The eight-week process included studying the elements of a public service announcement, media production of PSAs, and research on the history of Career and Technical education. Best practices were used and media professionals were asked to offer their advice and assistance.
“Be a Part of the Investment…Teach CTE” radio PSAs are ready for distribution, just in time for CTE Month in February. We hope you will share the PSAs widely with your own social media outlets!
Des Moines, Iowa- February 4, 2022 – ACTE Region III (Association of Career and Technical Education) has announced their VIDEO winners for the “Be a Part of the Investment…Teach CTE” campaign contest. Region III has proudly sponsored the project “Be a Part of the Investment…Teach CTE” Public Service Announcement campaign.
First and second place honors went to the Carthage Technical Center in Missouri. Third place went to Ethan Keller from the Kokomo Area Career Center in Indiana. Judges agreed that all three winning PSAs summarized the need for CTE teachers and did so with creativity.
