Peyton Holland
Helping Them Find Their Future

We all have something that drives us to show up and do the work we do each day.  Over the last forty years, our country has faced an identity crisis surrounding careers.  This crisis has created a challenging path for today’s students in identifying what drives them and linking it to a career they love.  Career & Technical Education is an essential answer to these challenges.  In this talk, Peyton will lay out key principles that we can leverage to help students develop the clarity they need to build the future they want.  We will also delve into strengthening the profile of our CTE programs through the power of story.

Bio
Peyton Holland has dedicated his career to helping bridge education, industry, and communities together to ensure that we are preparing the next generation of skilled leaders in the workforce.   For more than 20 years, he has been actively engaged in Career & Technical Education.  Currently, Peyton serves as the Executive Director of the National Technical Honor Society (www.nths.org), a national nonprofit that empowers students to pursue the skills needed to build their careers and celebrates those who do.  Prior to NTHS, he served as the Executive Director of SkillsUSA North Carolina.

Peyton has also worked with student organizations, professional associations, education agencies, chambers of commerce, and companies across the U.S. as a professional speaker, facilitator, and consultant for nearly two decades (www.peytonholland.com).

Having grown up in rural North Carolina, Peyton learned the value of hard work and skill early in life. From lessons learned on the family farm, to the experiences he gained while traveling internationally acquiring master’s degrees in business administration and global innovation management, Peyton understands the power of skill in each of our lives.  He is driven to share the importance of skill and the value of Career & Technical Education in our society.
