ACTE Board of Directors Welcomes New Members, Thanks Outgoing Members
Alexandria, VA – The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) is pleased to announce that several new members have officially joined the ACTE Board of Directors effective July 1, 2023. In addition, current President-elect Chaney Mosley has assumed the role of President at this time. Incoming ACTE President Mosley noted several of his priorities for the association during the upcoming year as the new board members assume their positions:
“Serving as President of ACTE is an honor that comes with responsibilities I do not take lightly,” said incoming ACTE President Chaney Mosley. “Working with other members of the Board of Directors, I hope to represent the voice and needs of members of the association. Specifically, I plan on collaborating with ACTE to collect information regarding burnout and stress of our members, so that we can create products aimed at supporting the mental health needs of members and informing policy regarding teacher recruitment and retention.”
Incoming New Board Members:
Chaney Mosley, President
Mr. Mosley is an Assistant Professor at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. His one-year term as president will begin in July 2023 and will be followed by a one-year term as past president.
Carrie Scheiderer, President-elect
Ms. Scheiderer is the Central Region Chief Administrator at Central Ohio Technical College in Newark, Ohio. Her one-year term will begin in July 2023 and will be followed by one-year terms as president and past president, respectively.
Bart Taylor, Trade and Industrial Education Division Vice President
Mr. Taylor is a Lecturer at Texas A&M University and Sam Houston State University in College Station, Texas. He is a CTE Program Specialist for Bryan Independent School District in Bryan, Texas. He will serve a three-year term beginning July 2023.
Fran Bromley-Norwood, Engineering and Technology Education Division Vice President
Ms. Bromley-Norwood is an Administrator at Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada. She will serve a three-year term beginning July 2023.
Douglas Bush, Region I Vice President
Mr. Bush is an Associate Superintendent for CTE at Gratiot-Isabelle Regional Education Services District in Shepherd, Michigan. He will serve a three-year term beginning July 2023.
Michael Culwell, Region IV Vice President
Mr. Culwell is the Campus Director at Kiamichi Tech-Poteau in Poteau, Oklahoma. He will serve a three-year term beginning July 2023.

“These past four years on the Board of Directors have proven to be helpful, personally, in my own growth as a leader in CTE,” said Mosley. “As such, I want to congratulate the outgoing members of the Board of Directors on our shared accomplishments and thank them for their efforts at improving our association and creating opportunities for others in our profession.”
ACTE would like to thank all current and outgoing Board of Directors members for their service to the organization throughout their tenure, as well as their continued contributions to ACTE and the CTE field.
