Tennessee Association for Career and Technical Education
Welcome to the Tennessee Association for Career and Technical Education, the proud host of CareerTech VISION 2017. ACTE is the largest national education association dedicated to the advancement of education that prepares youth and adults for successful careers. Our Tennessee members come from all walks of the profession.
ACTE is well-known for its leadership in legislative advocacy. We work year-round with education policymakers and organizations, building national support and funding for career and technical education in cities and towns from one end of the nation to the other. But ACTE members also enjoy many benefits and services that help Tennesseans make a personal difference to improve their schools, programs, students and their own careers.
CTE in the Volunteer State
||ACTE compiles relevant state-based CTE information in our State Fact Sheets. At the secondary level, CTE is delivered through comprehensive high schools and CTE high schools, which provide full integration of core academic curriculum with career-specific training. At the postsecondary level, CTE is delivered through the state’s Colleges of Applied Technology, which provide 2-year and certificate-level occupational and technical training programs, and community colleges. To learn more, read the Tennessee state fact sheet.
