Platform Statement
There are two main items I would like to accomplish as New and Related Services Division vice president-elect. The rst goal would be the encouragement and identication of new membership for those who teach CTE. I had no idea what ACTE was until I hit my third year of teaching. Creating an environment that attracts new members and encourages current members to reach out to others would be my rst goal. My second goal would be to use the ACTE platform to encourage more partnership with the industry. Right now, it is more of me, a teacher, cold-calling, and the message is not always received. Coming up with a package for any teacher to use and send to a business partner will show there is a larger presence behind the classroom.
