What’s New at VISION 2025?

September 15, 2025

In FEATURES, Spotlight

Get ready! ACTE’s CareerTech VISION 2025 is shaping up to be one of our most dynamic yet, with new professional learning experiences designed to inform, inspire, and connect you with peers from across the country. No matter your role, there’s something fresh and relevant waiting for you at VISION.

New roundtable sessions

We’re excited to introduce new hour-long roundtable learning blocks, giving attendees the chance to explore multiple focused topics in a single session. Each roundtable session will feature a variety of 25-minute mini-presentations, allowing you to rotate between sessions and customize your experience. Two different sets of roundtables will be held:

  • One roundtable session is all about instructional best practices, with practical takeaways for classroom educators.
  • The second roundtable session highlights topics especially relevant to administrators, from program improvement to staff support and more.

Spotlight on rural CTE

Based on direct feedback from our rural CTE community, we’re proud to offer a dedicated lineup of sessions focused on the unique challenges and strengths of rural programs. These sessions are designed to elevate the conversation around access, innovation and sustainability in rural settings. And to connect rural educators with one another in meaningful ways.

Support for early career educators

We know that supporting early service teachers is critical to long-term teacher retention and student success. This year, VISION will offer sessions for early career educators and those who mentor and support them. These sessions will focus on realistic strategies, foundational skills, and the unique needs of new CTE teachers — particularly those transitioning into education from industry.

Justice-involved education

We are deepening our commitment to serving professionals who support justice-involved learners. VISION 2025 will feature sessions exploring effective practices and emerging strategies for CTE in correctional and alternative settings. Additionally, a listening session will provide space for those in the field to share challenges, successes and ideas for future professional learning offerings.

More networking than ever

Making connections that last is one of the best parts of VISION. We’re expanding our structured networking sessions to bring together CTE professionals working in shared roles or with similar priorities. This year’s lineup includes opportunities for ACTE’s community groups to meet in person and network, as well as content-specific networking and division-sponsored activities and receptions.

Come one, come all.

Whether you’re attending to strengthen your program, grow your network, or simply reignite your passion for career and technical education, VISION has something new to offer you. We can’t wait to see you there.
