Association of
Career & Technical
Education Administrators

Dear ACTEA Members –

The holidays are upon us along with a continued uncertainty surrounding the COVID pandemic.  Now, more than ever, we need to take time to be present with family and friends. Being present means being in the moment, focusing on what is happening in front of you and, maybe more importantly, not focusing what is beyond your control.  Time is short and valuable; ensure that you are not only remaining committed to our profession but that you are remaining committed to yourself.

I want to remind you to remain steady and centered by modeling high expectations, confidence, compassion, and empathy.  This time of year can have a great impact on people, both for better and for worse. It is important to remain confident and consistent for our students, faculty, and staff.

Your ACTEA Executive Board and I remain committed to the Goals, Visions and Mission of ACTEA New York State.  We continue to meet by any means necessary to ensure that we are making progress on the Strategic Plan and continuing to make strides toward our goals, all of which can be found on our website. We are actively planning our 2022 Virtual Annual Leadership Conference and are looking forward to being “together” again.

Happy Holidays and Best Wishes for a New Year from your ACTEA Board and Executive Director

Anedda Trautman
ACTEA President
