TALENTS Leadership Academy
The TALENTS Leadership Academy is a part KACTE’s commitment to professional development and improving CTE classrooms by enhancing teacher quality. TALENTS — Teachers As Leaders: Empowering New Thinking Skills is presented by KACTE with support from the Kentucky Department of Education Office of Career and Technical Education. It is designed as a leadership program for classroom Career and Technical Education teachers. The goals are excellence in the classroom, leadership at school, and advocacy within the community.
Applications now are being accepted through May 15, 2018, for the fifth TALENTS cohort. It consists of three sessions; an intial program in conjunction with the Annual CTE Summer Program in Louisville at the Galt House Hotel and Suites, on Sunday, July 22; followed by a second session in Bowling Green Oct. 12-13; and the third and final session in Georgetown Jan. 11-12, 2019. KACTE is seeking funding support to provide registration scholarships (including housing and per diem for the second and third sessions) for all participants.
