Refund Policy

Refund requests for event registrations made with Kansas ACTE will be processed according to the following guidelines:

1. Cancellations by Participants:
– Cancellations made during the month of May will receive a full refund, less any processing fees.
– Cancellations made during the month of June will receive 50% refund, less any processing fees.
– Cancellations made within during the month of July will receive no refund.

2. Event Cancellation by Kansas ACTE:
– In the event of cancellation by Kansas ACTE, a full refund will be issued to registered participants.

3. Refund Process:
– All refund requests must be submitted in writing with the subject line “Refund Request ” to leadership@kansasacte.org

– Refunds will be processed within 15 days of receiving the request.

4. Incomplete Participation:
– No refunds will be issued for participants who register but do not attend the event.

5. Payment Disputes:
– Any payment disputes or chargebacks initiated by the participant will result in immediate cancellation of event access without a refund.

Kansas ACTE reserves the right to modify this refund policy at its discretion.

We are using an online platform called SCHED for the official event schedule and directory. Please download the app on your mobile device and create an account to access all of the conference features by searching “2026 K-ACTE Conference.” Create your own agenda by saving sessions you would like to attend.

K-ACTE will be presenting awards to winners at breakfast on July 20th, 2026 at our annual K-ACTE Career Tech Summit.

Kansas is conducting a statewide search for excellence in career and technical education (CTE) to highlight outstanding educators as part of our annual awards program. We are seeking nominations from all divisions, positions, and content areas this year for the following awards:
• Kansas ACTE Teacher of the Year recognizes the finest career and technical teachers at the middle/secondary school level who have demonstrated innovation in the classroom, commitment to their students and dedication to the improvement of CTE in their institutions and communities.

• Kansas ACTE Postsecondary Professional of the Year recognizes the finest career and technical professionals at the postsecondary level who have demonstrated innovation in the classroom, commitment to their students and dedication to the improvement of CTE in their institutions and communities.

• Kansas ACTE New Teacher of the Year recognizes new CTE teachers who have made significant contributions toward innovative and unique career and technical education programs and shown a professional commitment early in their careers.

• Kansas ACTE Teacher Educator of the Year recognizes teacher educators who have demonstrated innovation in teacher education, leadership in improving CTE, and commitment to preparing teachers to deliver high quality CTE programs.

• Kansas ACTE Administrator of the Year recognizes administrative CTE professionals at the school, district, county, state or federal level who have demonstrated leadership in ensuring teacher and student success and have made significant contributions toward innovative, unique and effective career and technical education programs.

• Kansas ACTE Counseling and Career Development Professional Award recognizes school counselors and career development professionals who have demonstrated commitment to connecting students with opportunities for success, shown innovation in career exploration and development, and have advocated for CTE as a viable option for all students.

• Kansas ACTE Carl Perkins Community Service Award recognizes individuals who have used CTE to make a significant impact on their community and demonstrated leadership in programs and activities that promote student involvement in community service.

• Kansas ACTE Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes CTE professionals for their leadership on behalf of ACTE, their innovations in CTE and their contributions to the field over an extended period of time.

Deserving candidates for these awards have demonstrated their commitment to CTE through their innovation, accomplishments, and contributions to the CTE community.

Applications are OPEN at the link below. Applications are due June 1st to be considered for this round of awards.

Award recipients will then be judged, and Kansas ACTE award winners will have their nominations forwarded on to be considered for the ACTE Region Awards.

If you would like to attend the Awards Ceremony Breakfast, and no other portion of the conference, there is an option to register for ‘Monday Breakfast Only’. Visit the attendee registration page to sign up.

K-ACTE has partnered with MNU to offer attendees up to 3.5 graduate credits for attending the conference and completing the required assignment(s). Tuition is not included in the conference registration. Please use the link below for a flyer with instruction on how to apply. Teachers who attend your annual two-day conference could potentially earn

The cost of one graduate-level continuing education credit is $90. Teachers who wish to receive credit will register, pay and submit an MNU required STAR Reflection Assignment for grading. Teachers have up to seven days after the conference to register and submit the assignment. MNU will grade the assignments and communicate to the teacher that their grade is posted and how to order an official transcript.

Also, there is an opportunity for teachers to earn an additional 2.5 credits by completing action research assignments using the new knowledge/skills they learned at the conference. 

This option provides a valuable opportunity for teachers seeking to advance on the salary schedule or fulfill re-licensure requirements.
