Get ready for the 2025 Alaska ACTE Professional Development Conference (October 12–15 in Anchorage)-the state’s largest CTE event focused on “Educator and Industry Collaboration.”  Attendees have the opportunity to tour leading CTE centers, hear from national and state keynote speakers, including the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and choose from over 25 breakout sessions showcasing innovative strategies and programs. Tuesday afternoon features interactive industry panels in healthcare, construction, energy, maritime, and hospitality, followed by regional breakouts to turn ideas into action. The event wraps up with a full day of post-conference activities, including presentations from regional training centers, the Alaska Workforce Investment Board and Industry Leaders across key sectors.  Participants will learn how training programs, post-secondary institutions and employers are aligning efforts to support Alaska’s future workforce.

Alaska Association for Career and Technical Education 2025 Professional Development Conference Call for Presenters

We are excited to announce the Call for Presenters for the 2025 Alaska Association for Career and Technical Education (AK ACTE) Professional Development Conference, scheduled to take place October 12 – 15,  2025 in Anchorage. This conference is a premier event that brings together educators, industry leaders, and stakeholders to advance Career and Technical Education (CTE) in Alaska.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Empowering Futures: Industry Collaboration”. This is a strong theme acknowledging the power of partnering with industry for innovative and ground breaking solutions that benefit career and technical education. 

Presentations should align with the conference theme and focus on enhancing CTE programs. We highly encourage interactive and dynamic sessions that foster engagement and participation. We are seeking cutting-edge ideas and practices that can be applied in diverse educational settings. Additionally, hands-on sessions that allow for practical application of the subject matter are highly sought after.

The deadline for proposal submissions is August 1, 2025. We welcome workshops, panels, and individual presentations. To submit your proposal, please complete the proposal form. Selected presenters will be notified by August 31, 2025.
