Nassau BOCES
Nassau BOCES Barry Tech Work-Based Learning Coordinator, Lauren Engels, is working hard to place Barry Tech CTE students in external internships. Some examples include (as shown in the photographs) Aviation Operations students interning at the American Airpower Museum and Long Island Aviators (both located in Farmingdale, NY), Veterinary Science students interning at Animal Surgical Center (located in East Meadow, NY), Animal Care Skills students interning at Bobbi and the Strays (located in Freeport, NY), Fashion Design students interning at The Fashionable Stylista (located in Syosset, NY), and Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement students interning at Rockville Centre Police Department, Nassau County SPCA (located in Bethpage, NY), and the Honorable Helen Voutsinas (located in the Mineola courthouse). These CTE students are getting such valuable work experience outside of the classroom, and they are working hard at their internships!
