Anaheim to Host 2019 National Association for Career and Technical Education Conference
The largest annual gathering of CTE professionals in the nation will take place from Dec. 4-7

WHAT: The Association for Career and Technical Education® (ACTE®) will host its annual CareerTech VISION conference, the largest gathering of career and technical education (CTE) professionals in the country, in Anaheim, CA later this year. The Association’s annual conference provides professional development to thousands of CTE professionals through hundreds of CTE sessions covering the complete spectrum of secondary and postsecondary CTE, classroom tools, public policy updates, and more. The CareerTech Expo and Career Pavilion also provide opportunities to network with business and industry representatives.

This year, Garrett Reisman, a former NASA Astronaut and senior advisor to SpaceX, will provide the opening keynote address on Thursday. On Saturday, Marcia Tate, a bestselling author and educational consultant with Developing Minds, Inc., will provide a closing keynote address.

An awards gala will take place on Wednesday evening where ACTE national award winners will be announced. Also on Wednesday, the fourth annual STEM is CTE Symposium will bring together education and business leaders to address access to STEM-related career paths.

ACTE will also be hosting the second Workforce Development Through CTE Summit to bridge connections between the business and education communities. In addition, three other national events will take place in conjunction with ACTE’s conference: NCCER’s Construction Career Pathways Conference, the CTE Research and Professional Development Conference, and the National Association of Agricultural Educators Convention.
