Platform Statement
I would like the opportunity to promote DECA and marketing education on a national level. I have been active in Marketing Educators of Texas and served on the Texas DECA Board of Directors. I live to teach students and others about how wonderful marketing and all CTE programs are for society. As the vice president of ACTE, I would hope to spread the word about CTE and especially marketing. When I tell the general public that I teach marketing, they assume I teach in college or that it is a new program. I believe we need to promote our program more outside the educational world. I want people to know what these students are capable of and how they can be an asset to companies. I want teachers to know how important their membership in this organization is. I want Congress to know that we hold the future business leaders in our hands in our classrooms. I look forward to speaking to others about the best job I could ever have. I am an enthusiastic and dynamic person. I love what I do and I want everyone to know what I have in my classroom. Please allow me the opportunity to serve as your marketing representative.
