2021 K-ACTE Summer Conference Registration:

The K-ACTE Board of Directors are happy to announce that we will be meeting back in person for our 2021 Summer Conference & Exhibit Show: Kansas CTE, Let’s Go!
**K State Tour -College of Health and Human Sciences Session will take place offsite from the conference on Tuesday, July 27th 8-10:30 am.
The hotel for the conference is the Hilton Garden Inn & Conference Center in Manhattan located at 410 South 3rd Street, Manhattan, Kansas, 66502.

Lyle Butler, in June 2020, was appointed by Governor Laura Kelly as Chair for the SPARK Committee (Strengthening People and Revitalizing Kansas) for the Governors Office of Recovery.
Butler retired in February 2019 as the President/CEO of the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce, a position he held since July 2000. Butler has also served as Chamber President/CEO in Dodge City, Kansas and Greeley, Colorado.
Lyle has other Kansas and Colorado career management experiences in banking and radio broadcasting prior to joining the Chamber of Commerce profession in 1990.
Butler is a 1982 Graduate of Leadership Kansas and a 2002 Graduate of The Flint Hills Leadership Program. Butler was recently recognized By Team Kansas as the 2019 Governor Samuel J. Crawford Silver Stirrup Award recipient for leadership in economic development.
Currently, Butler is a Bank Board Member for ESB Financial, with locations in Manhattan and Emporia and a Board Member for Frontier Financial Partners, a Certified Development Company based in Emporia, promoting economic development through SBA loan programs.
Kristin Brighton is one of the principals and founders of New Boston Creative Group LLC, an integrated marketing communications firm based in Manhattan.
As a consultant, she partners with businesses and nonprofits to build or revamp their brands using a complete spectrum of tools, from video production to digital marketing. She believes clients need to fully understand their audience for best results, and often conducts market research studies for clients to help identify the best messages and tactics for their marketing efforts.
Ms. Brighton was elected in 2019 to the USD 383 Manhattan-Ogden School Board, and was the 2016 chair of the board for the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce. She’s currently spearheading a workforce marketing effort called HirePaths to inspire and excite parents about opportunities for their children to quickly and affordably enter the workforce after high school.
