ACTE Image Awards
The ACTE® Image Awards recognize groups and individuals from the education, business and industry communities who enhance career and technical education by contributing to the improvement, promotion, development and progress of CTE. Individuals or entities (from within or outside the field) that have contributed to the success and promotion of CTE, thereby positively impacting the image of CTE, are eligible recipients of these awards. While there is no membership eligibility restriction for applicants, all must be nominated by an ACTE member. Non-winning candidates may be re-nominated for the same or another Excellence Award the following year. Winning candidates at the national level may not be nominated for the same or another national ACTE Excellence Award within 3 years of their win.
There are three Image Awards presented nationally:
ACTE Business Leader of the Year
This award celebrates the contributions and achievements of an executive from the business community who has demonstrated a solid and sustained commitment to improving career and technical education.
ACTE Business of the Year
This award celebrates businesses and organizations that have demonstrated their commitment to career and technical education through their partnership and staunch support of CTE professionals.
ACTE Champion of the Year
This award recognizes individuals and entities, from within or outside the Association, for the highest meritorious contributions to the improvement, promotion, development and progress of career and technical education.
All nominees are evaluated based on the following criteria:
accomplishments related to CTE that have contributed to the improvement,
promotion, development and progress of CTE.
that have enhanced the growth and quality of CTE.
considerations for the above can extend to sponsored programs, publications,
financial support, and other activities.)
