Health & Safety Research Presentation

Objective: To create a visual summary of the information gained through researching a topic related to health and safety in early childhood education settings.

For the health & safety research presentation, students will be asked to synthesize information from five sources:

  • Teacher lectures and discussions—both virtually and in class
  • Textbook readings
  • YouTube video clips
  • Interviews via phone and email with assigned preschool staff
  • Online research tools
  1. Students create a visual poster display representing the proper health & safety protocols in place as part of a quality preschool program.
  2. On the discussion board or in a recorded video, ask students to explain and discuss the visual. They should emphasize why and how it would be helpful for us at a parent orientation event.

Teachers may use the attached rubric for scoring student presentations.
