What is Your Vision?

Blog Post by Nicole Lord
Region I 2016 Fellow and CTE Director for Flushing Community Schools

Make a commitment to grow, develop and progress.  Make a commitment to attend CareerTech VISION 2017!

It is more than a conference. While it does have all that a conference offers with hundreds of outstanding sessions on a wide spectrum of CTE topics, it is more! There are inspirational speakers, informative workshops, tours highlighting best practice CTE models, a robust product/service Expo, exhibit workshops, and receptions.

The event offers endless opportunities for you to evolve YOURSELF and YOUR practice. I consider it an event because it is more than a conference. You are fully engaged in an experience to construct and evolve YOUR practice; you are crafting your vision! There is truly something for everyone.

You are able to choose from program session categories pertaining to the areas you are interested in exploring. You are able to plan your experience using an App to navigate the sessions you plan to attend.  You are able to network with peers and experts and obtain information and connections to evolve you to the next set of opportunities.

So “What is Your Vision?”  It is anything you want it to be.  It can be about professional development, pursuing opportunities, gaining insight into the trends of CTE, seeking best practices – it is what you want to make of it!

Nicole’s Top Five Reasons to Set Your Vision on CareerTech VISION 2017:

  1. So many sessions to choose from offered each time slot!
  2. It is well organized and easy to attend:  You can use the app and on-site help to plan YOUR event!
  3. The networking opportunities are endless: You learn from peers, experts, anyone and everyone!
  4. You will return with information to implement immediately and additional tools to implement in the future!
  5. Attend the session on the Fellows Program and commit to developing your inner leader!
