ACTE Executive Director LeAnn Wilson today expressed her support for federal initiatives intended to expand access to comprehensive career counseling for our nation’s students.

Career guidance is a vital component of all successful education programs, which connects students with the insights they need to make informed career and education decisions. ACTE supports initiatives that will expand access to these resources for America’s youth regardless of their academic or socioeconomic background. We appreciate the work of our leaders in Congress who have dedicated themselves to such efforts, including Representatives Jim Langevin (D-RI) who has previously demonstrated a deep commitment to comprehensive career guidance in such initiatives as the Counseling for Career Choice Act, and Glenn Thompson (R-PA), who have worked together in crafting this bipartisan amendment.
