Research-to-Practice Briefs Reviewer Pool Application

A A A

ACTE is seeking reviewers for its new series of Research-to-Practice Briefs, which present relevant research on topics of interest to CTE practitioners and include recommendations on applying research to practice.

If you have expertise in CTE research or research in a related field such as workforce development, human development, education, economics, communication studies, psychology or sociology, please consider volunteering for our pool of reviewers. Expertise is defined as:

  • Individuals holding a doctoral degree in CTE or a related field
  • Individuals pursuing a doctoral degree in CTE or a related field who have peer-reviewed publication experience
  • Individuals holding a master's degree in CTE or a related field who have relevant work experience

ACTE may at times recruit reviewers who do not meet the qualifications above but who have extensive expertise on a particular topic.

Reviewers will be asked to review a 3,500-4,000-word brief ONLY if the topic is relevant to their area of expertise. At the time of the request, an evaluation rubric will be provided. Reviewers will be asked to review and return the paper within 2 weeks.

Reviewers will play a role in helping CTE practitioners to understand the relevant research that can improve their work by translating research findings into practical recommendations. In addition, reviewers may choose to cite this review experience on their curriculum vitae.

To get started, please fill out the following form describing your expertise. Again, once you have joined the pool, you will only be contacted if you are a good fit to review a particular paper.
