Utah ACTE Lifetime Achievement Award Winner
Sue Taylor is recognized as the Lifetime Achievement Award Winner for her outstanding contributions and service to CTE. Sue has been a member of several committees responsible for writing the dental curriculum for the state. One of Sue’s most innovative accomplishments is the simple return to basics – focusing on the dental lab work. This seemingly simple change in philosophy has helped students better prepare and make a larger impact in their externship experiences. This is noted by the large number of dentists that have acknowledged that students are better prepared to assume the role of dental assistants when coming into their facilities. Sue’s students have excelled in their HOSA Future Health Professionals competitions at both the state and international levels. Living by her personal code that people should help others, Sue has provided untold hours of community service and education and has taught her students to do likewise.
