Becki has been an educator for 18 years. Beginning her career in rural Nebraska, teaching welding, animal and plant science. She has been an agriculture teacher educator for the past six years. At USU, Becki has been able to work with both Agricultural Education and Technology and Engineering Education students in the teaching methods course. The opportunity to collaborate with another CTE content area is outstanding; students from both disciplines are able to connect and share ideas and resources. Her research on teacher professional development has been presented or published with ACTER. She regularly presents workshops at the state, regional and national level and work with CTE teachers across the state of Utah in the New Teacher Academy and Agriculture Teacher Induction programs. Currently, she is conducting the National Supply and Demand of Agricultural Educators study and continues to focus on recruitment and retention strategies for teachers.
