    Hope Blackburn
    Alpine District

Hope Blackburn is the Agriculture Education teacher at Timpanogos High School. She has been involved with teaching Floriculture, Greenhouse Management, Landscape Management, Natural Resource Science, Animal Science, Agricultural Mechanics as well as Welding I &II. In addition, she is the FFA advisor. In her three years of teaching she has helped students receive their FFA State Degrees, American Degrees and be finalists in the National FFA Agriscience Fair.

Hope has focused many of her efforts to create labs that allow students who are not familiar with agriculture to see its prevalence in their lives. She has taught her animal science students about growth and development by hatching chickens & quail and emu. In order to teach propagation and genetics, she has been helping students propagate African violets and track the colors of the offspring. Her greatest joys include seeing students apply the knowledge learned in class outside of class.
