All workshops will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

How to Significantly Increase Enrollment, Retention and Performance—Now!
Join CTE expert Mark C. Perna as he shares the national best practices for maximizing enrollment, retention and student performance. High school and postsecondary administrators, teachers and critical support staff will discover the proven tactics that one school used to increase enrollment 128 percent in just one year—without adding any new programs or capacity! Come learn how your organization can attract and retain more of the right students in the right programs for the right reasons. Get ready to develop a plan driven by the powerful “light at the end of the tunnel” strategy and create effective program copy points that get noticed. Plus, you’ll learn what makes the Millennial Generation tick and how to connect, engage and retain them through graduation. And, finally, find out how you can overcome the most common objections and stigmas of CTE. Stop being the best-kept secret in town and start implementing these decisive, timely strategies and best practices to succeed in today’s competitive, performance-driven educational marketplace!

This half-day workshop will take place from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and includes a snack break. The registration fee is $150. Register now!

Embedding the Common Core State Standards Using Project-based Learning
In this workshop, participants will frame an authentic project that will identify literacy, math and technical standards to be applied to complete the project. Participants will be introduced to new Common Core standards and their implications to career and technical curriculum, and tools and practices for formulating embedded math and literacy assignments around the project. Participants will leave with an example of a similar project they can take back to their classrooms.

This full-day workshop will take place from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and will include lunch. The cost for this workshop is $200. Register now!

Assignments Given in Career and Technical Classrooms Matter
High Schools That Work research data shows that 15-20 percent more CTE students who have rigorous assignments meet college-readiness standards when compared to like students who also experienced such assignments. Participants will be asked to bring copies of assignments. Through this session, participants will be given the criteria of a good assignment and will craft rigorous and intellectually demanding assignments that they can take back and use in their classrooms. They will also receive a copy of the book "Assignments Matter" by Eleanor Dougherty and a rubric to judge good assignments.

This full-day workshop will take place from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and will include lunch. The cost for this workshop is $200. Register now!

Anatomy in Clay® Staff Development: The Vessel of Success STEMS From BUILDING on a Strong Foundation! Come Build With Us!
In this half-day workshop, attendees will build human anatomy using clay and a specially designed skeletal model. The goal is to explore anatomy from the inside out! Acquire the knowledge to engage health science students with immediate, hands-on learning using a proven method that is nationally recognized to increase student retention and test scores.

In the first half of this workshop, we will emphasize the vessels for the forearm in an amazing phlebotomy lesson that you too can introduce in your health science career class! The second half of the class will be dedicated to muscles. A short review of muscles rules will lay the foundation for building the muscles surrounding the previously built vessels, and the muscles associated with the most common sports injuries.

This class will also demonstrate how to create true inspiration in the classroom, with results that can guide students into the world of medicine and health science-related careers. This is an amazing discovery of interactive teaching and learning that reaches all learning styles. If you are involved in sports medicine, nursing or health science education, you will not want to miss this class!

This half-day workshop will take place from 1-5:00 p.m. and includes a snack break. The registration fee is $150. Register now!
