Students pursuing CTE careers need the support system, expertise and resources available in a membership organization from the earliest stages of their careers. Make sure you get the extra assistance that will not only help you excel in the classroom, but for years to come, with a free national ACTE student membership.
For the national student membership, ACTE defines a student as an individual who is enrolled as a full-time student preparing to become a career and technical educator and who is not employed full time in the education system as a teacher, counselor or administrator. Student members will receive their benefits electronically and will not receive the accidental death and dismemberment insurance.
Current national student member benefits will not change and will continue to include Techniques and travel AD&D insurance. Current national student members will be moved to the new structure when they renew. ACTE is able to offer student membership at no charge because we will now be sending Techniques electronically and the travel AD&D insurance has been eliminated.
Only national ACTE membership is free. Membership in a unified state association is required, along with any state division fees for unified states.

Students interested in joining ACTE must download and fill out the student application. Please fill out completely, including signing the student eligibility statement and paying for any associated state membership fees.

If you qualify, your free national ACTE student membership will start when you renew. You do not need to do anything at this time. ACTE will continue to serve student members in the existing way until your renewal. Make sure you renew your membership when you receive your invoice notice.
