Platform Statement
Region II is a blend of dynamic states and members that I would be proud to represent. Given the opportunity to serve as vice president, there are three principal goals I would seek to accomplish during my term of office. First, I would continue the work of strengthening the region. The stronger the region, the more successful we can be at providing leadership in developing an educated, prepared, adaptable and competitive workforce. Second, I would seek to increase membership and involvement in national, regional and state ACTE committees and activities through the development of a grass-roots membership effort to mobilize educators and workforce development professionals. The diversity would facilitate a platform for the development of leaders whose new ideas, creativity and best practices would assist in our sustainability and longevity. Finally, I would work with the region to expand the regional conference, looking at ways to leverage additional resources, increase participation and involvement, and augment programming. We can all benefit from providing excellent resources for learning from and sharing with each other.
