ACTE Membership Drives

Join ACTE's new membership campaign: Spotlight on Washington!

In 2009, ACTE has initiated a new campaign to reach our goal of actively engaging more than 200,000 CTE educators in the United States. Sounds impossible? Well, we don't think so—not with the help of people like you.

In times of change, new opportunities flourish. With a new Administration and a new Congress, there will be new opportunities for career and technical education we can’t afford to miss.

It’s time for the CTE community to shine a Spotlight on Washington, D.C., not only to increase funding, but to educate veteran and new legislators about the importance of career and technical education school programs and their impact on the future of our country.

CTE programs are the vital link that will lead to economic recovery, and we need to share that message with policymakers and business, industry and community groups.

In order to enact meaningful change, ACTE needs to actively engage more of those 200,000 CTE educators—and it needs to diversify and expand its efforts. Help ACTE thrive and expand our audience. Help us create a spotlight on Washington!

Today marks the start of our 2009 membership drive, and we've set a goal of inspiring 500 people to join our cause by June 30.

When you join today, you're telling the world that you believe not only in the value of ACTE, but also in the importance of CTE for a brighter future for our students, our public schools and our nation. CTE is more than necessary—it’s essential!

Winners of ACTE's first drawing are:

  • Sandra Cervantes—Beeville, Texas.
Prize: A complimentary registration for the 2009 National Policy Seminar (March 9-11) with airfare to Washington, D.C. and hotel accommodations for two nights.
  • Gene Adams—Bloomingdale, IL.
    Thomas Daugherty—Bunker Hill, IN.
    Anne Litzenberger—Plant City, FL.
Prize: One of three copies of ACTE’s Official Guide to the Perkins Act.

Becoming a member of ACTE is about more than the benefits. It's about standing up as a CTE supporter who pushes for change, who inspires innovation, who believes that our children deserve creative approaches that will prepare them for the world in which we live.

Don’t miss this great opportunity. Become an ACTE member today!
