ALEXANDRIA, VA— The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) has announced the election results for 2005 for President-Elect, Region and Division Vice Presidents. The results of the election have been received and verified by the ACTE auditors. The winning candidates will assume office on July1, 2005.
has been elected President-elect for 2005-2006. Mr. Scarborough is the Director of External Operation, the Adult Workforce Development Division at Great Oaks Institute of Technology in Ohio. An active member of ACTE since 1975, Mr. Scarborough currently serves on the ACTE Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, the Bylaws Committee and the new Communities of Practice Core Team. He holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the University of Cincinnati.
has been elected Region I Vice President. Ms. Hess is the Superintendent of Warren County Career Center in Ohio. She served as the President of the Ohio ACTE for three years in addition to serving on the ACTE Publications and Awards committees. Ms. Hess holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Georgia State University and her Principal and Superintendents Certificate from Xavier University.
Marketing Education Division Vice President:
has been elected Marketing Education Division Vice President. Ms. Carlson is a Marketing Management Teacher at the Tri County Technology Center in Oklahoma. She has been a member of the ACTE Marketing Education Division for 18 years. An Oklahoma ACTE Marketing Education Division Teacher of the Year, Ms. Carlson has also served on the Oklahoma ACTE Political Action Committee. Ms. Carlson holds a Masters degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Bachelors degree from Oklahoma State University.
will begin her term as ACTE President. Also taking their seats on the Board are , Region IV Vice President, , Technology Education Division Vice President, and , Trade and Industrial Education Division Vice President.
