PA-ACTE Membership Categories

Active—Individuals engaged in or working with vocational/technical education and who pay regular annual dues.

Student—Individuals who are enrolled as full-time students and who are not employed in the education system as a teacher, counselor or administrator.  Former active members cannot elect to be student members.

Loyalty—Individuals who have retired from vocational/technical education.

Associate—Different groups who are interested in vocational/technical education, but not employed in the profession.

Honorary—Those that have made outstanding contributions promoting the purposes of the organization and who have been approved by the executive board.

Pennsylvania ACTE Quarterly Newsletter

The recently re-established PA-ACTE Quarterly Newsletter is a new electronic publication for PA-ACTE members only. The quarterly e-mail includes feature articles on promising programs and practices in the state, legislative briefings, and other news and information about the Association and career and technical education, including a member question-and-answer section.

Region I

Region I is composed of 16 state affiliates, including Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, the Federal Department of Education, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia. The mission of the Region is to support the efforts of the ACTE state associations in providing educational leadership in the development of a competitive workforce. Activities of the Region are focused on involving members, cultivating organizational leadership, advocating for workforce development, emphasizing professional development and promoting a collaborative network of communication.
