NPS will update you on all the important legislative, regulatory and political activities of 2009 related to CTE and prepare you for policy action in 2010. You will learn how the new Administration and Congress addressed CTE issues and how you can take advantage of these opportunities for your school programs.

OVAE Assistant Secretary Brenda Dann-Messier will provide the closing keynote address at NPS. Her speech, which will be Wednesday morning during the 8:00 session, will be followed by a panel of speakers discussing the future of CTE and efforts already underway to better connect CTE to other education and workforce development priorities. The International Consortium for the Export of Technical and Vocational Education and Training is hosting a special workshop, "Exporting U.S. CTE Expertise—Locating and Applying for Opportunities," at the 2010 National Policy Seminar.
