The Missouri Association for Career and Technical Education is an active group of vocational educators whose strength is derived from their diversity and organizational structure.  Missouri ACTE has approximately 2000 members. Members join one of eleven divisions listed below. Each division is designed to cater to a specific professional field. 

 

Missouri Association for Career Services (MACS)

The purpose of MACS is to promote the development of career services to students enrolled in Missouri's high schools, area technical schools, and colleges. To maintain and improve professional standards in the field of career services. To unite professionals engaged in career services activities.

Business Education (MBEA) 

The primary purpose of the MBEA is to promote the professional growth and development of members in the field of business education. Membership is open to all business educators, business education students, retired business educators and those individuals who cooperate in the development of business education in the State of Missouri.

Administration/MCCTA 

MCCTA has membership from a wide range of vocational technical administrators such as state personnel, AVTS directors, deans, tech prep directors, equity directors, adult education directors and others who have administrative duties. In addition to meeting during the summer joint conference, the MCCTA has a fall meeting, district meetings and sponsors the Legislative Day.

Marketing & Cooperative (MCEA) 

This division caters to individuals involved and interested in marketing and cooperative education at the secondary, post-secondary, and adult levels. Teachers, administrators and students preparing for the teaching profession will benefit from publications, professional development activities and opportunities for recognition and leadership.

Health Sciences (MHSE) 

Membership in MHSE provides a communication network with colleagues across the state; keeps members informed of policies, plans and issues of the ACTE (Association for Career and Technical Education) and legislation impacting Career and Technical Education; provides opportunities for updating professional skills through workshops, conferences and receiving CEUs; and encourages and supports youth activities. Membership is comprised of secondary and post-secondary Health Care Educators.

This is a professional organization for persons engaged in teaching, coordinating or supervising Family & Consumer Sciences Education (consumer and/or occupational). This includes instructional programs, services and activities at the secondary, post-secondary and adult levels.

Guidance (MSCA) 

Missouri School Counselor Association is an organization of professionals dedicated to helping the students of Missouri. To facilitate that goal, MSCA provides a communications network with colleagues across the state, conferences, workshops, legislative and public relations activities, newsletters, journals, and many other services as well as close contact with the State Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Membership is open to counselors at all levels, elementary through post-secondary, as well as those in private practice.

Trade & Technical (MTTA) 

MTTA is an organization to support and assist trade and technical instructors in both secondary and post-secondary areas. This support consists of technical upgrades and workshops, as well as academic training.

Agriculture (MVATA) 

The MVATA is a professional organization for individuals actively involved in Agriculture Education. Membership is open to all certified Agricultural Educators in grades K-12, post-secondary and associates in Agricultural Education.

TEAM is a professional organization of junior high and high school Industrial Technology teachers that promotes professionalism through spring, fall and summer meetings, a nationally recognized newsletter and a state contest every year. TEAM also encourages professionalism through active teachers sharing ideas and resources.
