||ACTE compiles relevant state-based CTE information in our State fact sheets. At the secondary level, CTE is delivered through comprehensive high schools; career and technology high schools that teach core academics in the context of specific career pathways; and CTE centers, which serve students from multiple sending schools and allow them to enhance their academic studies with specialized training in competitive fields. At the postsecondary level, CTE is offered through public community colleges, apprenticeship programs and private career colleges. To learn more, read the Maryland state fact sheet.

Assistant State Superintendent
Be a Positive Agent of Change… Become a Leader TODAY!
As a leader and professional in your state for Career and Technical Education, I would like to take a brief moment to introduce myself and offer my assistance on behalf of the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE).
My name is Mike Woods and I represent ACTE as the State Association Liaison for Region I to help assist the fifteen (15) states in Region I with leadership development, membership, and legislative advocacy from ACTE national. Essentially, I am our team’s ‘boots on the ground’ and travel throughout the region to serve as an educational consultant and resource to ACTE state leadership and their membership.
Aside from providing support, my goals are also to rejuvenate and revitalize state ACTE associations facing hardships and obstacles, in addition to re-establishing inactive state associations throughout Region I. If you could use assistance in this manner I would be happy to help you through this process.
Please do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail or telephone if you and your state need any support from ACTE national. I strive to be a readily available resource who is here and happy to help.
I look forward to connecting with state leaders and members while attending your state conferences and meetings throughout Region I.
