#VISION13 Online Seminar Series
ACTE continues its #VISION13 online seminar series with a must-join, must-listen lecture from 2013 Career Tech VISION keynote speaker Corinne Hoisington on 21st Century Skills. Are we preparing students for the technology skills that they will need in this new workplace? This online seminar will focus on the importance of conveying 21st Century Skills of the 4C’s: Critical thinking, Creativity, Communication and Collaboration, and elevating the focus on hands-on technology instruction to engage 21st century learning. Using mobile, we need to engage at every stage and create a technology rich experience each day in our classroom! Are seminars live or pre-recorded? Both. Seminars will be held live, allowing you to participate with your colleagues and ask questions in real time, but archived webinars are also available for replay.
Who can access online seminars? Many live and recorded Seminars are restricted to ACTE members only. In certain instances, such as when a topic is particularly important to the field, seminars will be open to non-members to participate live and, for up to two weeks afterward, to view the recorded event. All recorded seminars older than two weeks are restricted to members only. If you like what you see here and wish to have access to all ACTE online seminars, consider joining ACTE. Individual membership starts at $80/year and includes many other benefits.
How can I register for online seminars? When you click on a link to a live event or recorded online seminar, you will be redirected to more information on that event. From there, click "Add To Cart." On the next page, select your member type. Members, input the e-mail address that you have on file with ACTE. If the seminar is open to non-members, non-members can enter any e-mail address. Click "Check Out." You will be taken to a page to fill out a little more information about yourself. Click "Submit Registration" to finalize.
