Member Benefits and Services

In-depth Analysis, Classroom Tools and Best Practices
Techniques magazine is published eight times a year and provides a wealth of useful information to CTE teachers and administrators, including in-depth analysis, classroom tools and best practices. Please note, international members receive Techniques electronically.

Quality Networking and Professional Development
CareerTech VISION and the National Policy Seminar help you interact with other CTE educators, business and institutional partners and policymakers face to face. As an attendee, you choose from a variety of sessions across a wide range of subjects designed to help you take the most relevant information back to your classroom or office.

ACTE also hosts online webinars on a variety of CTE-relevant topics so that you can develop professionally right at home.

Timely Legislative Updates
The Legislative Action Center on ACTE’s website provides you a way to get information on the legislative process, follow the voting records of representatives and find out who your elected officials in Congress are. Also, ACTE’s electronic Legislative Alerts provide breaking news on Capitol Hill activities that affect CTE programming, funding and support.

CTE News
ACTE keeps you on top of cutting-edge news from around the country. Career Tech Update is a tightly written summary of the most important news affecting the career and technical education profession, prepared by the editors of U.S. News & World Report. This valuable resource is published each weekday and sent to your inbox before 8:00 a.m.

ACTE also partners with SmartBrief to produce the daily STEM Education SmartBrief, perfect for CTE educators and stakeholders interested in following developments and issues in science, technology, engineering and math.

High-quality Resources
ACTE is focused on getting information, as well as useful products and services, into the classrooms and schools of its members. One of the most effective ways we do that is by partnering with industry experts. These partnerships are all geared toward benefiting our members. For instance, our partnership with eKnowledge results in free SAT and ACT prep programs for ACTE members and their students. Click here for more information.

Instant Access to Thousands of Colleagues
ACTE's social networks help you network with other educators around the country who share your professional interests.

Professional Recognition
ACTE’s Excellence Awards Program gives you an opportunity to nominate your colleagues or yourself for recognition on a national stage for outstanding work and dedication to career and technical education.

Career Advancement
ACTE offers you the opportunity to obtain college credits needed for license/certificate renewal or salary advancement purposes, through its online courses. These courses are offered through Thomson Learning.
