CTE Research Clearinghouse
This clearinghouse is designed to provide
detailed information on topics of key interest to career and technical
educators and administrators. Click on a topic below to access best practice
articles, research reports, podcasts, webinars, policy papers and presentations
from ACTE, the National Research Center for Career and Technical Education, and
other organizations and individuals. These resources can be used to improve
practice and inform further research and development in these areas. ACTE does
not endorse any specific resource or method referenced in the clearinghouse,
but has worked to pull together as much diverse information as possible to help
stakeholders improve CTE programs around the country!
CTE Clearinghouse: Support Services for Working Adults and Other Non-traditional Students
CTE programs, particularly those on the postsecondary and adult level,
help adults returning to education and other non-traditional students
such as veterans, not only with academic and technical skills, but also
with support services.
CTE Clearinghouse: Work-based and Service Learning
More and more, schools are turning to work-based and service learning
methods to improve academic performance and student engagement as
well as to help the community. The following resources include best
practice articles and research reports on how CTE has used work-based
and service learning to support and improve outcomes for students,
businesses and the community.
