CTE Action Center

Why Advocate?

CTE professionals are CTE experts, and we need you to join in our work to advocate for CTE. Your local advocacy efforts are a key part of continuing the bipartisan support CTE receives in Congress.

As we head into a reauthorization of the Perkins CTE Act, this "back home" advocacy is especially vital to ensuring your voice is heard on Capitol Hill. Building a relationship with your Members of Congress or their staff will set you up as an expert on CTE and will have policymakers asking for your input when drafting legislation that will impact your classroom.

In addition to the items here on the CTE Action Center, you can find more tips on other advocacy actions you can take in our Advocacy Toolkit.

Get Recognized

ACTE is recognizing our top e-advocates who utilize the CTE Action Center. Just take an action and you could see your name on our website! Find out more info here.

Taking other CTE advocacy actions in your community? You could be the ACTE Advocate of the Year and recognized at ACTE's National Policy Seminar in Washington, DC. Find out how you can apply here
