CTE professionals are CTE experts, and we need you to join
in our work to advocate for CTE. Your local advocacy efforts are a key part of continuing the
bipartisan support CTE receives in Congress.
As we head into a reauthorization of the Perkins CTE Act, this “back home”
advocacy is especially vital to ensuring your voice is heard on Capitol Hill.
Building a relationship with your Members of Congress or their staff will set
you up as an expert on CTE and will have policymakers asking for your input
when drafting legislation that will impact your classroom.
