States Invited to Apply for Certification Data Exchange Project Round 2

ACTE, in cooperation with a number of national and state partners, is supporting a project to expand and improve data exchange between industry certification organizations and state longitudinal data systems.

The project is based on a multi-year roadmap for the development of a national data exchange clearinghouse that will allow states and educational institutions to have access to data on industry-recognized certifications earned by students. Current industry partners include CompTIA and The Manufacturing Institute, an affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers. The Department of Education is also interested in the development and outcome of this project.

We are in the early stages of a pilot between Round 1 states and industry partners on how data can be effectively and securely exchanged and used for the benefit of all parties. If you think your state would be a good fit for this project, please connect with your state CTE leadership to discuss applying by the deadline of May 8, 2013. Learn more at our Certification Data Exchange Project webpage.
