The House and Senate spent this week moving their higher education priorities before the upcoming August recess, including hosting a hearing on states’ role in higher education and moving several HEA bills.

Senate Appropriations Committee finally released the text of its Fiscal Year (FY)
2015 Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education appropriations bill, which
includes a $5.4 million increase for Perkins!

Engineering and computing students are more likely than other STEM
graduates to be employed in STEM occupations. In addition, men continue
to dominate STEM employment.
