The mission of the Career and Technical Education Foundation is to promote quality career and technical education through support of the programs and services of the Association for Career and Technical Education.


The guiding principles of the Career and Technical Education Foundation
  1. Lifelong Learning
    The CTE Foundation embraces the concept of lifelong learning and recognizes its importance to remaining competitive in a constantly changing environment.

  2. Inclusiveness
    The CTE Foundation believes that every individual is a student and that every student should have access to relevant and rigorous education and training.

  3. Competitiveness
    The CTE Foundation seeks to ensure that there is a highly skilled, highly motivated and competitive workforce necessary for the economic success of the nation.

  4. Continuous Improvement
    The CTE Foundation supports the concept of continuous improvement and recognizes the importance of engagement by business and industry in program and curriculum design and re-design.

Foundation Goals

  1. Foster support for ALL students to access quality career and technical education programs that result in a productive and successful career of their choosing.

  2. Create an engaged and knowledgeable cadre of highly qualified educators who have the professional development and tools necessary to meet the changing needs of the students and workplace.

  3. Create and support partnerships with business, industry and labor to ensure career and technical education programs are reflective of the needs of the 21st century global workplace.

The point of focus for the work of the CTE Foundation it to support the efforts of the Association of Career and Technical Education (ACTE) to provide leadership in preparing an educated, prepared, adaptable and competitive workforce. The CTE Foundation works in close association with the ACTE to develop partnerships that will help to transform the ACTE purpose into reality by providing financial and technical resources to support students, teachers and administrators in career and technical education.
