But there are also a lot of exciting activities going on at this year’s Career Tech Expo. In addition to the many products and services displayed, the Career Tech Expo has two exciting educational opportunities available this year. Once again, Exhibitor workshops will be offered on the trade show floor. Attendees are invited to see first-hand what cutting-edge ideas and products are available and how they can be used in the classroom. This is the ideal opportunity for career and technical educators to learn new skills while having fun.
We are also pleased to announce an important new addition to this year’s conference. ACTE and Global Skills X-change are co-sponsoring Industry and Trade Certification Workshops. Attendees will be offered the opportunity to attend a series of hands-on comprehensive industry certification workshops. Representatives from nationally recognized certification organizations will conduct classroom-style sessions and provide guidelines and checklists for the implementation and use of their program as well as highlighting industry use and acceptance.
Also new at this year’s convention is the Kids for Careers program. This program is designed to encourage student involvement in career and technical education courses. Attendees can watch students from John C. Fremont Middle School and teachers from Arizona, Nevada and Wyoming work together to build a small project using hand tools.
