The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) will continue its ACTE Books for Children (ABCs) community service program at this year’s Annual Convention and Career Tech Expo in Las Vegas, December 9-11.
The books, for children ages 11 to 13, will be given to John C. Fremont Middle School in Clark County Las Vegas, Nevada. The school welcomes all book donations, however students would be particularly interested in fiction and language books. Cash donations are also welcome and will be given to the school along with the books. Those attending the Annual Convention can place donated books in the bookcases located by the registration area in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
“We are thankful to be selected as the designated school this year for ACTE’s community service project. With ACTE’s support we will be able to provide more books for our students to begin or add to their home libraries,” stated John C. Fremont principal Ben Montoya.
The actual donation of the books will take place on the morning of Friday, December 10th in Concourse area of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
