Reminder: If you wish to be considered for the Business Education Division three-year appointment to the Policies Commission for Business and Economic Education (PCBEE), a letter of interest is due to Jean Kyle via e-mail or surface mail by February 1, 2010. This letter should indicate your interest, employer/personal support and brief resume of qualifications. The work of PCBEE is conducted as a joint venture with the Division, Delta Pi Epsilon (DPE) and National Business Education Association (NBEA) appointees working throughout the year to create policy statements regarding current topics in business education. The statements are available on the NBEA Web site.

In February, the Division will elect a new Vice President who will represent you on the ACTE Board for the coming three years. Best wishes to each and thank you for taking the leadership challenge and for your service to business education.

The 2009 ACTE Annual Convention and Career Tech Expo may have come and gone, but the 2010 event is just around the corner! Mark your calendar today for the best professional development event of the year, December 2-4 in Las Vegas. Proposals are now being accepted for sessions at the 2010 Annual Convention. The Division wants to create a strong strand of sessions that are focused on teaching and learning and that are created by classroom teachers of business. We also need sessions that are technology rich and that address how technology is changing teaching and learning.

CTE teachers and administrators are invited to attend a free online virtual conference sponsored by McGraw-Hill School Education Group in February.
