2014 Award Winners

The ACTE Excellence Awards promote excellence in career and technical education. Since 1954, ACTE has recognized those individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to CTE, programs that exemplify the highest standards and organizations that have conducted activities to promote and expand CTE programs. Award winners serve as inspirational leaders to ACTE: they embody the core values of serving their students and being committed to CTE. Click here to view the ACTE award winner archive.

The Excellence Awards are presented at the ACTE Awards Banquet in conjunction with ACTE’s CareerTech VISION. Please join ACTE and more than 400 banquet attendees at this event celebrating career and technical educators who make a difference in students' lives every day!

The Excellence Awards fall into two categories:

ACTE Member Awards

ACTE Image Awards
        The Member Awards recognize ACTE
members who have contributed to the success
of CTE through the quality of their work
and their involvement in the CTE community.
The Image Awards recognize groups and
individuals from the education, business and
industry communities that have contributed to
   the improvement, promotion, development
and progress of CTE. Click here to learn more!

All Excellence Awards are administered by the ACTE Awards Committee, which comprises one representative from each of ACTE’s five Regions and a chair. The Awards Committee is responsible for recommending awards programs to the Association’s Board of Directors, setting criteria for awards, reviewing applications, recommending award recipients to the Board and overseeing all aspects of the recognition program for award winners. Applications for the ACTE Excellence Awards are accepted online via the ACTE Awards Portal.

ACTE Leadership Training Program

ACTE is proud to offer you an opportunity to develop the leadership skills of existing and potential leaders in your state association. The Leadership Development Task Force has developed a new state leadership training program to further develop current state and regional association leaders, while also exposing up and coming leaders to leadership development.

ACTE National Leadership Fellowship Program

The ACTE National Leadership Fellowship Program began in 2009 as an Opportunity Fund project initiated by the ACTE Board of Directors. As of 2011, three classes of Fellows have completed the program.
