ASSOCIATION FOR CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION

Advertising Opportunities

A A A

ACTE is the largest association dedicated to the entire career and technical education community. We provide leadership in developing an educated, prepared, and competitive workforce.

ACTE’s 27,000 members—teachers, guidance counselors, middle school and high school administrators, post-secondary and technical educators—are involved in planning and conducting career and technical education programs that prepare millions of students entering or re-entering the job market.

Techniques Magazine
Techniques is the most widely read, most trusted and most informative publication serving the career and technical education market.

Written for career and technical educators, Techniques covers issues these professionals care about most; providing them with input they trust when making decisions for their classrooms, programs, and school systems.

Each month, dedicated sections focus on leadership, emerging jobs, new products and services. Feature articles cover the latest in new technologies, classroom management, career guidance, teaching skills and professional development.

Techniques provides CTE decision-makers with the analysis and objective reporting they need to remain informed. And it’s where savvy advertisers target them.

Targeted Points
  • As many as 113,000 educators read some portion of Techniques each month.
  • Including decision-makers who control an estimated $11 billion in local, state and federal funding spent yearly on career and technical education.
  • And have identified Techniques as their single most important source of professional information.

“Many a small thing has been made large by the right kind of advertising.”
—Mark Twain

More Ways to Reach ACTE Members

ACTE E-Blast—Amazing New Opportunity
Our newest marketing opportunity! Reach ACTE members directly via e-mail. ACTE will send an e-blast on behalf of a vendor to a mailing list of nearly 20,000 of ACTE’s 27,000 total members. To guarantee exclusivity and maximize impact, we limit the monthly number of vender e-blasts to two. Also, a strictly limited number of CareerTech Expo exhibitors will be offered the opportunity to e-blast the pre- and post-CareerTech VISION attendee mailing list. To date, we have seen open rates of between 10 and 35 percent. We attribute this to exclusivity! Please contact us for availability, pricing and specifications.

Note: All e-blasts are sent directly from ACTE on behalf of an approved vendor. At no point will ACTE sell or give out member e-mail addresses.

ACTEonline—Feature Banner
Really make an impact with ACTE members by featuring your banner on www.acteonline.org. With our new Feature Banner option, your organization’s banner can appear throughout the entire ACTE Web site. What’s the potential exposure? Every week, more than 5,000 visitors come to ACTE’s home page, and 28,000 visit the site monthly!

We strictly limit the number of Feature Banner advertising slots sold to four. Feature Banners appear in rotation throughout the entire ACTE Web site. All Feature Banners are .jpg or .gif files sized 165x165 pixels, and we ask for no animation. Feature Banners cost $500 a month. We require a minimum commitment of three consecutive months.

Electronic Advertising
Target ACTE members online by advertising in one of ACTE’s electronic newsletters . ACTE’s monthly electronic newsletter, ACTE News, is sent to all ACTE members and contains information and news specific to ACTE. If you would like to advertise in this publication, please contact Tom Minich at 607-264-9069. Career Tech Update is e-mailed every weekday directly to all ACTE members. If you would like to advertise in this, please contact our partners at U.S. News & World Report.

Online Buyers Guide
ACTE’s newest marketing tool makes you the target. Our online Buyers Guide is a searchable database of organizations providing products and services to the career tech community. Listing in the database is free to all Techniques advertisers and CareerTech Expo exhibitors. For those wishing to purchase a listing, contact Jim Waterhouse at 800-826-9972.

Mailing Lists
Reach your target audience with a direct-mail campaign. Customize your mailing list selection by ACTE Division, position, school type and/or geographic area. Contact Infocus at 800-708-5478.

Exhibit and Sponsor
Meet your prospects face to face Nov. 29-Dec. 1, 2012, at the CareerTech Expo in Atlanta, Georgia. ACTE’s CareerTech Expo brings together 4,000 hard-to-reach education decision-makers—superintendents, counselors, administrators, principals, curriculum/instructional specialists and school board members. ACTE’s attendees are respected education authorities who initiate projects and programs, solicit bids and are prepared to make purchasing decisions based on what they see at the Expo. Access the exhibitor information or contact Jim Waterhouse at 800-826-9972.

2012 Program Guide Advertising
Reach more than 5,000 conference attendees at CareerTech VISION 2012 , held at the Georgia World Conference Center in Atlanta, Nov. 29-Dec. 1. VISION-goers will consult this guide while making buying decisions at the show. They also keep it for up to a year as a handy reference to companies that serve the market—a must for any exhibitor!

Reprint Services
If you’d like copies of your ad or articles of interest to distribute at meetings or to customers, we can supply you with full-color or black and white reprints at a reasonable rate. Contact Gina DAngelo at 800-826-9972.
